I've come across....

Werecat.
Bakeneko.
Neko.
Ailuranthropy.
Bastets.

I was previously under livviezyklon(had to make a new account due to my email address being hacked) when I went under my metamorphosis.
I talked to my uncle Oni,
I know I am awake and more than human.
Friends have seen the feline me but I have not.
I only get a flash of ears.
How am I suppose to know what/which one I am?
Help guide me as I try to figure myself out please?

When you say "Bastet", are you referring to the Egyptian goddess... there is only one, a goddess of protection. After all, her name doesn't mean "cat", though I'll steer of ranting about that. So, I'm confused by that reference, if you're indeed speaking about Egypt.

As for your question, I personally think you're the only one that can actually figure it out. And obviously, we need more information. Normally, people can figure it out instinctively (or at least, from what I've seen/heard/know/experienced).
The first step is to figure out where this came from - blood, previous life, something else (which helps you understand the nature of what this is, as well as yourself). Secondly, the origin of what it is you are - as in, which region of the world. Although you can get beings that are "just called something different" in different regions, the "title" of what you are seems to be what you're asking, so you'll need to find that.
Personally, I find it a little strange that you haven't figured it out yet... cats, or those connected to cats (whether in this way or not) normally have strong instincts and are drawn naturally to these things. Perhaps you already have the answer and are merely overlooking it.

Sorry, that's all I can help with at the moment - time for me to go to bed.

I found others that did not refer tot he godess here.
http://www.mythicalcreaturesguide.com/page/Bastets

As in past lives,
I dunno who I was.
But my uncle Oni introduced me to my mother from a past life.
She's a Pixie and her totem is a Lynx.
All of us know,
she wasn't a very good mother.

Origin:
Half Italian.
The rest is German/Austrian, Russian/Ukrainian, Native American(Lenape) and other mixed Euro my family may have forgotten.

As far as the cat thing....
I actually dislike cats...
People always related me to them b/c of how I act.
When I was told I am a cat I was like really -_-.
The reason why I might not be able to figure it out is b/c I awoke premature,
a good 6 months early.
Without my uncle Oni's protection that part of me would have been dead as soon as it awoke.
I've also been told I have a small bit to Lycan but I'm not sure how true it is.
Either way,
I know I have more than a cat inside of me.
The cat just awoke 1st.

The information on the so-called "Bastets" states that it's based on the goddess, and seems to just be a creation of DnD. After studying Egypt ontop of my Japanese studies for about 10years, I've never once come across them in authentic Egyptian writings (and I specialise in mythology).

As for origin, etc., I meant the origin of what you are. For example, if you were part fox, that fox blood may have come from a past life, and, not being human blood, there's a chance it can reawaken in the next lifetime (for some reason, non-human blood isn't limited to the physical body). Or, the fox blood could come from this life, then you need to follow it to where it came from in that bloodline (eg. mother, grandparent, etc.). Origin of where, it would depend on what region this fox blood came from - if it's, say Asia, then you'd need to find if it's Chinese or Japanese, etc., because the foxes in those places differ again.

I understand what you meant but how do you find the origin of something that hides?

By the way,
thank you very much for your explanation of how the bloodline works.
I never had someone explain it to me that way.

Normally, if the origin is this lifetime, you can find it faster. And obviously, it depends how it came. My example was bloodline, so inherited someway (and the way foxes work, so it was the easiest example). Other beings might transfer this sort of thing to humans differently, but I'm not sure of other methods (unless you take vampires or zombies as an example). It's harder when it comes to past lives, for obvious reasons. But normally, if it came from a past life, it's through blood - I don't think any other way can be passed on to another life, though you never know. Then again, I'm not 100% sure on that either.
The best way to figure it out is always instinct. Perhaps you need to sit down and do some really serious research on it. As to what exactly you are, start with a region of the world you feel drawn to in relation to that part of you.

Ok know this post is old and it might be to lathe to answer, but any way I will.
I guess maybe you’re a Therian or Theriantropho, this is a really new term that refers to ppl that feel like or know they are some kind of werebeast or animal, or even have the power to shape shift, there are some of them that can shape shift in not just one but different creatures or which form changes at different stages of their life’s. I don’t know a lot about this yet, just came across the term a short while ago, but your case sound me like that.

I too am dragonkin, but i'm also a hybrid since my mother is a Tengu (a child Sojobo the Tengu King to be precise). I know a girl in the spiritual plane who turns into a cat once in a while, but is also a Death Angel (You've seen her BLEACH persona). She was my teacher, as well as a big sister to me.
