Please introduce yourself here on this thread. Thank you very much!
Hello to all! I'm Rhaine Patrick from the previous board. I'm from Philippines and currently working as a part-time college instructor.

I was from the previous board, but I won't reveal my name ^-^. Whoever guesses right shall receive a cookie!
I'm now Alixtair, but ppl thought it would be easier to shorten it to Alix(Alice!), so I'm cool with Alix too. I'm Vietnamese and working to be a Homicide Detective, Novelist, and Paranormal Investigator.
Oh, and I'm a girl. (I feel the need to say that because in Greek, 'Alistair' is a male name. I think it means 'Hero' or something)

I'm RainStarDragon, AKA Ame or Amehana. Those that don't know me can think of me either as "the loud mouthed priestess" or the "quiet but has a really big broom" one, depending on how things are going. *chuckle* I was a moderator on the old forum, for anyone that comes along and doesn't know me.
Now I get to find if there is a sticky button.

@RainStarDragon No need Rain. I already found the sticky button. Thanks anyway!
@Alixtair You're the one with a Vietnamese dragon avatar before?
@All Nice to see you all again. Take care!

Hello, I'm Keetsune. No, not a Kitsune, I'm human. I chose that name because I'm very certain I once saw one back on my final days in middle school. I don't think I've had any other supernatural experiences lately, save for obtaining a ring which I'm told has a warlock spirit within it, and only recently have I started studying the basics of onmyodo. However, I have found that many of its teaching align with quite a bit of my own religious opinions.
In short, I'm doing research on onmyodo to see whether or not I would like to become an onmyoji. I'm not really getting any professional lessons right now, because I'm trying to take in what little information I already have, such as the meaning behind the symbols of the kujikiri (and since I had to actually look over my notes to remember they were even CALLED the kujikiri, you can tell I have a way to go to even memorize what little I've gotten...), and symbols that can best suit my needs regarding focus for spell-casting.
Hopefully, I'll be able to start a personal compendium of descriptions of any (IF any) kinds of yuurei, youkai, yousei and bakemono I come across. This all said, it's nice to meet you, and in all honesty, my ADHD may very well be the source of my lack of presence in the future. At the least, I hope to get out of all of my research a respect for nature and true onmyoji.

Hey everyone,
On the previous forum I was "Hermeticist_Shun" and so I am back, but this time using the name "Zhenwu".
I have recently had an increased interest in folklore and went through certain lengths to research foxlore and snakelore in Japan as well as some old Japanese folk magic recipes. My approach in research is a little more scholarly in nature and what interests me is how Japanese people perceive(d) and conceptualize(d) particular animals and certain seeming blurring of the physical and spiritual for these animals in folklore and folk magic (though I am going to have to research this a lot more). Anyway, I have other interests in this folkloric area, but I have just scratched the surface and need to make more time to research.
I still maintain an interest in onmyodo, shugendo, esoteric and exoteric Buddhism, Shinto, Daoism, Western ceremonial magick, chaos magic theory, and so forth. Likewise, much more research (and practice) is necessary.
Welcome back everyone
