Well, well, well. Away for training for a few weeks and everything turns to better it seems. Hello everyone, I'm Akashiel from the previous board, I like martial arts, sorcery and spirits in general. My main focus is runic magick but I tend to see spells as tools rather than ancient secrets passed down from gods, so I often use spells and methods from eastern systems of magic, as they tend to work for me. I also have decent amount of knowledge about mythology from various sources as well as chaos magic, ceremonial magick and various other things that have taken my interest during my years of interest in the occult.
My only supernatural experiences that come to mind and are not suspect due to myself trying to achieve something through magick are the dreams about people close to me dying (Great Grandma, grandma and an old friend) the night before it happened. I'm told my grandfather has the same dreams. Oh and a toad "youkai" decided to return my lost knife.

Welcome to Youkaimura the Youkai Village! Are you a member of the previous forum or a new one?

Well, it's been quite a while, and I can see a great deal has changed. I posted a few times back on the old forum under a different name that I cannot recall at the moment. I'm just a human, and not a particularly notable one at that, being your average Chicagoland suburban geek. However, I have held a lifelong interest in spiritual and paranormal matters. Both precognitive dreaming and medium-like abilities run in my family, although my experience has only been with the former. Additionally, I have long had an interest in sociology and anthropology, with Japanese culture being a particularly strong focus.

These sort of naturally came together to cause me to be interested in youkai, in particular Kitsune, or their Chinese and Korean variants, Huli Jing and Kumiho, and that's how I initially came to the original Youkaimura website and forum. I did not really have a lot to say at the time, but I found it a valuable resource, and often referred to it. I had a bit of an eventful time for a while, however, and ended up not returning until now, only to find that the place has been totally redone. It is good to be back.

I'm a new member. Seems that finding this forum when it's being reborn the moment I find information of onmyodo isn't coincedence, I don't think.

I didn't really notice this before, or I would've posted here before I posted on other topics...

I was on the old Youkaimura occasionally, under the same username, but I only posted a few times, so I doubt that anyone remembers me. I had read topics on the forums sometimes for about a year before I made an account, so I wasn't necessarily new; before I just read to learn more about youkai, and at the time I didn't really have anything much to contribute so I wasn't a member.

I hadn't been an actual member for long before Youkaimura... disappeared. I'm glad the forums are back now. ^^

Hello people, a curious outsider here. I recently discovered your forum while googling 'Youkai', and strangely enough this site even in construction as it was came up first in the list. Couldn't help but take a look. So I bookmarked it and made a note to come back later and see what was up. The boards have a nifty, relaxing style I have to say.

Though I have rare occasional access to the internet right now, and so likely won't ever be around much, I felt like signing up even if just to "sign the guest book", so to speak. As my rather blunt username suggests, I'm a massive Touhou fan, and so by extension have developed quite an interest in Youkai, and eastern folklore and mythology in general. The vast majority of the hundred plus Touhou cast are Youkai of some form after all, so you can kind of see why I'm curious to find out more about the basis behind the characters.

Hello everyone!
I recently found this group online and am looking forward to making some new friends and learning more about Onmyoudo.
I'm from America but I live in Japan now.
I have always been interested in the mystical and spiritual but after a fortuneteller friend of mine told me that I had been an onmyouji in my past life I have started researching into Onmyoudo.
