I’m currently creating an article about Philippine Mythology and I’m using MLA style for citations but I’m having a little problem. What if I used different sources and incorporate them into a single paragraph, who among the author of the sources is the rightful one to be placed on the inline citation?

Each source needs it own citation after the information that's used in the paragraph.

I'll put all of them on the reference list but who is the rightful one to be placed on the inline citation? The inline citation is the one enclosed with parenthesis at the end of each paragraph. However, that paragraph is not taken from a single person but a combination of thoughts from many authors.

I normally use APA or Havard, so I can't really help as much for this style. But I should think, you would cite everyone involved. I found this, if it may help you: http://www.library.cornell.edu/resrch/citmanage/mla
But, like Rain said, each piece of information that you use should be sourced by whom that information came from, within the paragraph itself. I don't think it'd be appropriate to just bundle them all together at the end, 'cause the reader won't be able to figure out exactly what information came from where.
The whole point of intext citation is to be able to find that source in the bib. Also, if it's general information that you can look up, you don't normally have to source that (eg. "The first wave of the Black Death hit Europe in the mid 14th century" - no source would be required, 'cause it's general information). It's mainly (but not limited to) ideas, perspective and opinions of the original author that you have to source (eg. "The Black Death in the mid 14th century had deviasting and lasting effects on Europe, but also led to great advances in technology (Name (date), p~~-~~)." -> Then have the full details in the bib.).

I took a snippet from one of my old essay drafts from uni, if it would help.
Quote:
Another key element of Bushidō is politeness (Nitobe, 1982). The Japanese language and culture has adapted to this important feature and has approximately five forms and levels of politeness, all used in different circumstances, as well as a complex method for distinguishing the social hierarchy (小川誉子美・前田直子 (Ogawa Yoshiko; Maeda Naoko), 2003).
Both of the sources were in the same paragraph, but used to identify where I got the opinions, etc. for each part, rather than where I got all my ideas from for the paragraph as a whole.
If it's multiple authors for the same source, you can see how I did that (but perhaps check the link I gave you to see how it's used in MLA), but if I refer to them (like "so-and-so said ~~"), you put all the authors' names, or if there is an original author (say, from a translated text), I've been told to put just the original author.

Also, if you use Windows and have a Microsoft Word that came out in the last couple of years, there's a reference tab that can help sort your sources for you (under manage sources, I think) - it has the source style of MLA.
Then, at the appropriate points in the text, you select "insert citation".

I hope that helps clear things up.

Now I understand. Thank you very much!

I'm using it right now. Thanks again!

Thank goodness Yamazaki could translate what I was trying to say. *Head deep in her essays that each require a different style*
