I know this is a little similar to the 'past experiences' topic (so if you guys want to move it there, then please say so ^^), but I think perhaps dreams could have its own thread, since they can be quite different from conscious experiences.
I've had a lot of weird dreams in the past (I've been haunted by a select group of them from my earliest lifetime that I've recalled), but there's been another thing that's bothering me.
For a few years now, I've had a recurring "character" in my dreams. This is a person I have not met in this lifetime (but if he's from a past life, then I have an idea of who it was). He turns up in about 70-80% of my dreams, and even when my dream "changes", he'll continue to the next dream in the same night. His personality is always the same and, although his appearence sometimes changes, if I move closer to him, his appearence returns to how it always is - though I always have trouble recalling or seeing his face. Problem is, any names I get are lost when I wake up or they're just the names of his "character" for that particular dream. As for his place in the dreams, he's not a harmful character and, although in some dreams everyone seems to ignore/abandon/turn on me, he's always on my side.
So, I was wondering if anyone has any opinions or ideas about this, or if you've experienced anything similar and what became of it, etc.. It's been bugging me for some time now, and I'd like to figure it out... and now I should go to bed, 'cause it's 1am here ^^;. And sorry for any sentences that were difficult to understand, I'm a little tired ^^;

Could be, but I don't think so (but I'm open to all possiblities at this point ^^; ). How could you tell it was your guardian? (or, are you talking about that particular person?)

In my case my dreams were me in my Yokai form, my true self. In one dream I'm kneeling before a council of deities reporting directly to the Sun Princess Amaterasu. As I reported to her, sometimes I'd bring scrolls, or mysterious artifacts lost to the spirit world in the mists of time. Other times she'd appear to me and comfort me when my heart is unsound, while I lay under a cherry tree. But in other dreams, I'm in the Underworld on a Spirit Ninja mission, usually assassination. In those dreams Great King Emma summons me to assassinate certain classes of demon. Usually the ones he has trouble with are Jashin (邪神); High Ranking Archfiends who terrorize Emma Daioh's and Izanami's territories stealing souls. My sword the Amaterasu Blade, made from a part of Amaterasu herself (specifically from a tooth of hers) and one of the three sacred swords of the Amatsukage Ninja always shined radiantly when drawn against an Archfiend, and everytime I struck a Jashin down, the blade shined brighter and brighter. It took me a while to realize it actually happened, since people astral project while asleep subconciously.

First of all, I'm not really sure I'm posting this where I should, so I ask the moderator's forgiveness in advance (just in case), my case is this one: I really want to believe in everything that is posted here, I guess I wanna believe in something (idk..I'm not gonna be dependant or anything he,he) anyways, my story starts from when I was 'bout 3 years old or so, my grandmother told me that in those days weird things happened 'round the house like lights going off and screams from me (not the typical baby screams idk how to explain it) and thatI was usually talking about some indian girl and that sometimes there was some kind of shadow over me and my caretaker once "saw" a female native south-american looking at me with teary eyes.
It seems that my grandma convinced my parents to call a priest or something (she implied it,but didn't want to dwell too much into the matter and I didn't feel like preassuring her), anyways I've had my near death experience being a new-born and knowing it gives me the urge to think about things and so on..
Sometimes things that happen in everyday life (usually things that'll have a certain influence on my decissions) seem familiar to me, as if I had already seem them. I must say I've took the motto "There is no such thing as 'coincidence' in this world... only 'Hitsuzen' as my own.
Last year I had a dream about me being on a small row-boat in a lake with crystal water (it almost seemed like a mirror), I remenber I fell and as I descended I looked towards the surface and saw a small silver ring engraved with the triquetra,as I reached to it I heard a female voice saying "Look for protection" or something like that. That dream surprised and made me investigate this kind of subjects and that's how I found the site.
I want to believe in this and I'm not sure if I'm getting obsessed but I just can't find any meaning. ¿My chance is gone from the moment I stopped being a child? I want to take things seriously but I don't know where to start, I need advice and guidance.
Please can someone help me?
P.S sorry for the uber long post

HayateSumeragi's thread "I want to believe..." has been merged to this topic.
About your experiences as a child, I think there are lots of people who experienced that. In our country, we believed that those are simple manifestations of a ghost or a visit from a dead relative.
About your dream, I think RainStarDragon and the others have interpretations for it. Sorry, I'm not good in interpreting dreams. Please be patient and wait for their replies. Thank you very much!

The symbol you mention is used by many religions (including Christianity) to denote a trinity of some form. Did the female voice have a sort of Irish sounding accent?

Off the bat, I would assume the native woman to either have been your previous mother possibly trying to call you back, or your personal protector.
The dream sounds very familiar, almost as if you had posted in the previous incarnation of our village, before all the moves? There have been so many dreams posted that I can't always remember which ones have been brought back, which I've seen elsewhere, and which I've only dreamed of reading on the boards.
>.> Yes, I do dream of the boards from time time... Anyway...
Your chance to interact is never, ever gone. Your abilities that all are born with are never ever fully taken away. I've got nieces that temporarily get "spiritually stuck in the closet to rest" by their own guardians from time to time, but even something like that is never permanent. If you truly want and pursue abilities, you can strengthen them. However, just as the dream says by telling you to seek protection, that is at the base of it all.
One must find a firm spiritual standing within themselves. With those roots, then it is much easier to strive forward. It also sounds to me as if you're wanting more than just to "believe." The sense that I pick up seems to be searching for an inner truth.
