A leprechaun is a type of fairy in Irish folklore, usually taking the form of an old man, clad in a red or green coat, who enjoys practical jokes. Popular depiction shows them as being no taller than a small child. Their trade is that of a cobbler or shoemaker.
Is it true that this being has lots of gold but never spends any of it?

I've heard they are collectors of gold, are notorious for being hard to catch. they can teleport if you aren't looking at them, so the only way to catch a leprechaun and keep it around is to stare at it the entire time. O.o there is a 'scary' movie called Leprechaun where some of its powers are used for evil.

Strange, is there some energy emitted from one's eyes that disables the ability to teleport? Seems like it is a convention or rule among them that they are not allowed to do so while being looked at... maybe when it teleports with one looking at them the viewer gets a glimpse of where they teleported to or even how to do it themselves.

O-o i think that it applies to all teleportations. the human mind cannot process it and there is probably some force at works that won't let teleportation work if someone or something sentient is watching. it may be a force in place to prevent insanity or something. maybe even to keep some vast secret of the cosmos from being uncovered.

Hard to say on that as scientists have teleported subatomic particles, and while invisible to the naked eye it did take place within their line of sight.

Yeah something to do with using quantum entanglement right? My dad is physicist and a good teacher. He puts things in terms I can understand when we talk about things like quantum mechanics, but still the entanglement thing has me really scratching my head and gets worse the more think about it.
